Educational Interpreter Training Program

With generous funding from the Tennessee Department of Education, in May 2023, BridgesDHH launched a five-year Educational Interpreter Training Program with the goal of recruiting and training 240 educational interpreters skilled enough to pass the EIPA and obtain licensure in the state of Tennessee. EIPT is FREE and open to residents of Tennessee or anyone employed in a Tennessee county school system. Check out all that's included below. There are tracks that last from one to five years based on beginning skill level and qualification. You and your coordinator will match you to the best track. You will also be matched with Deaf mentors and Interpreter mentors.
